Regardless of this dude's actual guilt, it seems like a terrible idea to serve no knock warrants in the middle of the night, especially out in the country where everybody and their momma is armed to protect against home invasion. I mean, that is just begging for fatalities, both for the accused and for the police.

I guess you've never seen what bath salts can do to people? I have. I've seen people come off them and have no recollection of what happened for several days. Meanwhile they were out breaking into cars and shoplifting while they were on the bath salts. It's bad stuff, and I see no reason why it should be legal.
If you could guarantee me that all you would do is stay in your home then great. I just find it hard to believe you could guarantee that is the case.
Can say that about alcohol, and we know for sure people go out after they drink (pre-gaming), while they're drinking, and after they're very intoxicated.
Thats why people go to jail when they drink and drive though.
The "highs" are completely different and the danger levels that someone presents on the two drugs are on an entirely different level (as long as you don't include an automobile in the picture).
