No, but if we trade our best offensive players, we'd like to get back something decent in return man... come on. We were a terrible offense yes... so we traded our best offensive player for no offense... see the problem?
It did suck. So the Braves decide to trade 3 of their 4 starters that know how to get on base. The people the Braves have moved weren't the problem (unless CJ is in this deal)
So Pads have Kemp, Upton, Myers, and Seth Smith??????????? They promised Smith they wouldn't trade him, but they have to. And they will have zero outfield defense!
As far as we know, Heyward and Upton were traded for Miller, Jenkins, Fried, and Peterson. I still find it odd that we traded Heyward and Upton and didn't receive 1 top 50 prospect in return.

Clearly they are going for a Peterson and Peraza top of the lineup within the next year or so.

So essentially we gutted our team, failed to return even one young impact position player, brought in a 20 year old coming off Tommy J that won't even pitch for us until 2016 and then on top of it we committed 45 million to a declining 31 year old outfielder having neck surgery.
I hated rebuilding - but I accepted that was their direction and was willing to see how it went. I hated trading Heyward but will admit, at least we got a young controllable pitcher - but everything since then has just been all down hill. Just seems to me we are now left with more wholes than ever. This offseason has been an epic fail. We turned a potential playoff team into a bottom dweller and I have zero confidence any of these moves will make us significantly better in the future.
