Well, you just lost the debate. Sorry thethe, I'm gonna pull you in on proxy too since he mentioned you.
The circumstances are certainly much different but in a lot of the ways its very similar. We must learn from our past mistakes. If this problem is not addressed globally then it will spiral out of control. People are fooling themselves if they don't think there are terrorist cells operating in every country around the world, yes even in the US. These people are brilliant tacticians and are always waiting for the right opportunities to strike. For us as a free world to "ignore" them as so many people subscribe to would be the equivalent of writing our own death sentence. No, they will never take over large land masses but we will be forced to live our lives wondering when is the next location they will attack.
The calls on this board of this not being a real threat have quieted down recently in light of the attacks in Australia & France. This doesn't even consider the atrocities that are being committed on a daily basis in Africa. Radical Islam is creeping its way even into China. Again, this is a global issue and I hope at some point the majority of the world gets on board and realizes that we are dealing with pure evil. Yes, there is such a thing as good and evil and this is coming from a non-religious person. Don't sit here and tell me that these radicals aren't the epitome of what evil is. We must be vigilant and we must not waiver. This is our fight and it must be fought.

Nevermind, I retract my apology from the previous post, it's certainly deserving.
Listen, you keep living in your world of denial while millions of innocents die at the hands of these radicals. There reach is ever growing. We will only see more attacks in the future...not less.

I think your numbers are wrong. Millions are killed by big corporations. Millions are killed by big government. Why aren't we as scared of McDonalds as we are of ISIS? Which do you think has more pull in the world?
Geez, nobody can stay on topic. Create other threads to talk about it and I would be happy to discuss these issues with you.
However, this has absolutely nothing to do with the threats of radical Islam.
