Why Do Liberals Hate 'American Sniper'?

I saw the movie Friday and I thought it was great.

However it seems some liberals aren't on board. Michael Moore has said that snipers "aren't heroes". Seth Rogen has come out and likened the movie to a Nazi propaganda film. So what gives?

Haven't seen it so I won't pass judgement, that being said, the biography the movie is based on is pretty much chock full of lies, and th emovie changed several things so who knows.

2 people have an opinion on it and you say "liberals hate.."

I haven't seen it

But are disagreeing that is can't be propaganda?

And this is a Hollywood movie I should care about as opposed to all the other stuff "republicans" always trash about Hollywood?

Remember the hubbub about TDKR being a democrat propaganda film because the Enemy is Bane and Romney started Bain.

More than 2 liberals have a similar opinion on it. I just don't have the time to post all of them. Sorry to have confused you.

Didn't confuse me

can I get a list of the good Hollywood movies etc that republicans deem worthy to watch and you can't think otherwise on?

This film is blatantly propagandic in nature, but that doesn't mean it can't be cinematographically valuable.

See: Leni Riefensthal's Nazi work.

I don't know. Can you?

The Passion
American Sniper
anything the actor Ronald Reagan acted in

i guess. past that, i'm not sure. thought you could help me out

it just seems i have always been told how liberal elite hollywood is and how we shouldn't give a damn what those primadonnas think about anything

except when it is convenient of course

It's got a 73% on rotten tomatoes. Obviously all liberals don't hate it. Of course I knew this was a troll thread, but carry on.

liberals hate it so much they nominated it for best picture of the year and 6 oscar nominations overall

unless republicans run hollywood now that is

I think it's really entertaining that Seth Rogen feels he can critically judge movies.

As a writer, director, actor and producer, I think he can offer an opinion that most critics couldn't dream of.

He can offer whatever opinion he wants, but I'd hope that any self-respecting consumer of popular culture would take it for what's it worth (very little).

Honestly, do you give a **** what Seth Rogen thinks?

No I don't. But I think he has a valuable opinion to give as any other critics. There is a documentary out there somewhere about critics I find apt.

I guess since toma started a thread about him and his opinion

Yeah, I guess some people do give a **** about what Seth thinks
