I'm not sure the "don't start his clock" logic applies to guys like Martin. Big questions on how his stuff translates to MLB, and his upside is a 5th starter. I'm glad we're getting a look at what he can do. He's the kind of guy I want out there this year to save the clocks of guys like Wisler and Folty.

Is this controversial? They guy didn't get picked in the Rule 5 draft after 2 full seasons in AA / AAA. I don't think there are any front offices that view him as an MLB mid-rotation starter. If so, I'd be open to trading him for one year of Hayward and two years of Walden!

The goal is clear. They are going to try and rebuild Stultz value and flip him for a long term asset. Thats what the Braves are in the business of oing now.

And one of Heywards doubles was a miscommunication between two fielders that should have been an out and the other was because of the outfield positioning.

Solano's triple was because Markakis was pulled way around toward the line. He was going full bore on a medium depth ground ball in right center. Tosca didn't have him in the right place.
