5/11/15 Braves @ Reds

Brian Jordan is vouching in the post-game show for Gosselin to get more starts. I heard it in the background from the kitchen but I wish I saw Jurenovich's reaction to that.

I enjoy watching the team when they win yet I don't mind when they lose. Welcome to being a Vols fan. With that in mind the Vols are ready to do something this year. Get ready.

- Terrible baserunning by Markakis on the steal from Goss. Markakis has to take second there. If he does, we score a third run that inning

That's not a gimme there, though. If he steals along with Gosselin, they still have the option to throw to second there. Not necessarily likely, but they can do it. And if you go with a delayed steal, it's still a risk.

I'll rain on the parade a bit.

- Fredi once again reminds me that he's a moron by refusing to use his better pitchers in a tie game on the road. Jim Johnson if we get the lead, Trevor Cahill if we're tied. Cahill is our worst pitcher, yet Fredi cannot get his head around the save stuff.

Having said all that, stringing together 3 hits against Chapman - and two of them from lefties - is no small task - well done

Sturg is one of my favorite posters on this board but becareful not to be niners ( I don't mean that as a knock on niners as I think he's a great poster for this board) To grump about Fredi for choosing one crappy reliever over another seems absurd. Also Markakis has to make sure he's got second base on that steal from Gosselin. The most important thing by far is that Gosselin has 3rd base with one out. Markakis at second means nothin relative to Gosselin safe at third base with one out.

Just an observation, but I remember about two weeks ago a lot of people were complaining about Freddie's lack of walks and patience. He's doing a pretty damn good job ever since.

Also, he's 12-24 over the last seven days with 5 doubles, one homer and 7 RBIs. Not bad.
