Easy to say now, but once again Fredi doesn't know what's he doing.

Assuming he's available, these next two innings should have gone to Jim Johnson and Jason Grili.

But because it wasn't a save situation - Fredi goes to the end of the bullpen while we wait to get a lead

I don't mind him going to someone other than Johnson or Grilli in this situation. We're not due to get another off day until June 4th. He has to be selective when to burn JJ and Grilli. And JJ and Grilli already pitched Saturday and Sunday respectively I think.

He was planning on Avilan-JJ-Grilli to finish the game but Avilan obviously screwed it up.

It just sucks that he has to use Masset.

So he did exactly that by bringing in Cahill. Hell, the guy gave up three bombs. Let him get that last out. Zero use in bringing in Cahill. Now you face a situation where if we by some freaking miracle rally and send it to extra innings, you've wasted another pitcher.....when we don't have a day off until June 4.
