6/3/15: GDT - Atlanta Braves @ Arizona Diamondbacks (Maybin back in the lineup)

Fredi overmanaging here with Gomes. Give me good defense and solid offense over horrid defense and mediocre offense in a tight game late.
 
Dumb call by Fredi—and I would've said that even if Gomes had scored a hit.
 
If Fredi is our manager, the front office CANNOT give him a past his prime (was Gomes ever at his prime??) vet... He'll use him often and often incorrectly.
 
I hate Fredi so, so much. Another bad move. He maybe cost us a run offensively and maybe defensively as well.

Fredi just doesn't use his head. He plays the game like it's checkers (thinking one move at a time -- living in the moment) instead of chess (thinking multiple moves ahead). No reason to pull Avilan -- now you have to pull Martin next inning since his spot is due up.

With Cunningham, you could've surprised them with a squeeze. We're likely only getting one run out of that inning if we scored at all with Betancourt and someone like Gomes pinch hitting for the pitcher. As I type this, Gomes gives up 2 bags. Fredi looks clueless.
