I dont see the appeal i Payne as I said yesterday. Saw him in person. Just not impressed. Lazy and weak defensively. Streaky shooter. Cant finish at rim.

Because the Thunder picked him.

Yeah you could play Payne/Westbrook/Roberson/Durant/Ibaka and that would be a very good defensive team that can stretch the floor and have multiple playmakers in transition.

KD is a strong defender, but I just don't like Payne and Westbrook on the wings defensively. I love Payne as a backup PG. That was a major need.

Ibaka is very good as the lone defensive big. It helps that KD is a 7 footer. Also, Roberson is extremely versatile as a defender. Its still a good defensive team when they go small.

I agree. I was mostly commenting on how I don't like playing Payne and Russ together.

I like the Payne pick. OKC hasn't had a good backup PG in forever. Payne is everything that Reggie never wanted to be.

Ibaka is a tremendously unique rim protector in that you can still play small with him. When GS went small Draymond was their rim protector. When OKC goes small they have two plyer bigger than Green on the floor.

Sith a 7-2 wingspan, Oubre should be perfect 3 and D guy. Maybe play some stretch 4. Him and Otto are so long!
