If it's a health discrepancy it's not uncommon for a deal to fall through. And that has been a rumor. Just see Brady Aiken last year. Oh lord all you want but it's a legit concern whether you acknowledge it or not.
Small wager on him signing?

I've been saying I wonder a bit about what's going on for a little bit, but haven't seen the first documented rumor anywhere (and I'm typically pretty thorough in my searches). Again I have no clue, but I'm not willing to say I "heard" when it's something I read on an internet message board.
Hate to nitpick but again, can you link anyone to this "rumor"?
I can completely understand coming to that conclusion on your own (and I've wondered the same thing), but it's a bit reckless to say something like that when you don't have any confirmed information.

Probably water cooler but a few unnamed sites/blogs/whomever have speculated medical. Doesn't really need a link when it's speculated. I suppose his people are squeezing the most they can and that makes sense. I'm typically a source/link guy too but sometimes the sensational wagon makes it's way around.

Don't be all that concerned if we don't sign him, next years draft is supposed to be a lot better and is heavy on pitching.

Roy Clark and Brian Bridges are going to be all over Alex Speas, which is bad for me since he is a Mississippi State commitment.
Agreed. The deadline to sign is the 17th.
The only thing I don't like about the situation is the fact that Bridges' statement during the game on draft night was that they didn't see any issues at all and that they expected to sign Kolby within a week. Just find it curious that everyone was so convinced that things would go smoothly that they'd make a public statement like that and then not follow through.

I've heard the rumor on this site... that's all... how is what I said reckless? I never said that is what was happening... I was pretty clearly speculating considering I said "I'm nervous." I never said anything more than speculation and I never said he wasn't going to sign... I never claimed to have inside knowledge... I'm just nervous about it. You guys have made my comments into something way more than it clearly was. Goodness gracious.

I never said he wouldn't sign... I said I'm nervous. We saw it happen with Aiken last year... he will probably sign and I hope he does. But don't keep acting like I'm an idiot for being nervous about it when its not exactly something unrealistic.
When was the last time the Braves didn't sign their 1st rd pick?

I think you can have concern period. We all want Kolby to sign and it's reasonable to expect him to, but you're no more wrong than some of us who know it all.

The point was that you never said where the rumor came from. Most people here have been understandably nervous, but none have referenced any rumor.

No the point is you are ridiculously sensitive to what's said on a message board. I did say where the rumor came from.... Our board, above... That you already also addressed. clv creating drama and turning statements into something they aren't again... Big surprise. It is quite comical that me being nervous about him signing and speculating possible reasons why it could happen bothers you.
