Sac has a pretty solid team now. If they can add a backup big, they might fight for a playoff spot.

You have to be kidding me right?

Haven't you said WCW would be a crappy pro in the past?

You think Rondo is any good? He killed that Mavs team.

The Kings will probably be 10th or 11th in the conference.

Kings actually had one of the best starting units last year but had terrible bench and a lot of injuries. Im not a fan of WCS but does provide them defense next to Boogie. Added depth witg Bellinelli and Collison moving to backup PG. have money for a backup big if they can find one

So a first round exit is your aspiration as a fan?

In 15-16, on the heels of a 17 win season? Absolutely.

My aspiration is to compete for a championship, but that's not happening in 1 year when the Knicks had fallen as far as they did. They drafted a guy with the most star potential at #4, who could eventually bridge the gap from Melo to the future. They traded a one-dimensional non-asset for a polished draft pick who'll be able to help on both ends of the floor. They signed a quality center to a contract that will look even more reasonable when the cap increases. They signed a couple of players with upside to short term deals. They retained flexibility for the next couple of off-seasons rather than lock themselves into players who aren't good enough to win it all, like they've done so many times in the past.

The Knicks fell too far to appeal to the Gasol's and Aldrigde's of the world. If they get themselves into the playoffs this year, it's going to be because some of their young assets helped vault them there from a 17 win season. That's going to make them a hell of a lot more attractive to future top tier free agents than they were this off season.

Porzingis, THJR for Grant, Lopez, Afflalo, Williams...David Aldridge tweeted out that if a generic team had that off season, he'd be having his praises sung.

To me it's all about timing. By the time the Knicks are ready to win a Title Melo will be no better than a 2nd cog and I think that's being generous. I still have said they had a really good offseason thOugh. Let's also remember most felt they had a good offseason last year as well.

I love Spurs getting Aldridge. Really gonna have fun watching them.

dal, SA, GSW, oKC, Memphis really seprating themselves. utah may sneak in playoffs

Idk if Dal got that much better, switching Monta/Tyson for Wes off achillies and Jordan is a net gain.

I agree on the rest tho.

Jordan is far better than Tyson. Matthews is more than likely going to be better than Monta. They do need PG - which may be Lin

Is there a better defensive player and rebounder? And offensively, his O-rating has been in the 120s

There are many people who do n9t believe that Jordan is a top defensive player.

I also believe that his offensive effectiveness is solely dependent on having gifted passers around him.

Blake Griffen would be the Mavs best passer.

No better rebounder.

But plenty and plenty of better defensive players.

Thats debatable. The clips defense is a joke (105 rating). However it is 7 points better sith Jordan playing.

Jordan will be fine offensivley, even with just putbacks. He showed how good he can be when Blake was hurt.

The Clips defensive rating was 98 with Jordan?

Jordan is a good defensive player but i do wonder how much he'll miss not having Paul.

And to a lesser extent, even Blake.

I guess we'll see if Carlisle uses him more, would imagine they feature him a lot in pick and pop situations.
