Around Baseball 2015 Edition

Without a doubt, was talking with someone who doesnt think he'll age well.

Kinda like Andruw.

Andruw let himself go. Yeah some of it had to do with patrolling CF all those years but if he took better care of himself I doubt he who have fell off that fast.

Not sure I understand why F-Rod was placed in the game. I know he is perfect with saves with a nice ERA, but you still have good starters down there ala Shelby Miller, Burnett, and Wacha. I would've even placed Rosenthal or Papelbon into the game before F-Rod.

Rosenthal was unavailable.

Dont think it mattered though.

Didnt realize Trout had 26 HR's, just take it for granted.

The Angels got him with a draft pick they received as compensation for...Mark Teixeira. If anything, the Tex trade to the Angels was worse than the one with the Rangers. The other draft pick they got from Tex was used on Tyler Skaggs.

While that sucks there is no guarantee the Braves would have used that potential pick on Trout. If we wanted him we should have gotten him at #7 instead of Mike Minor.

Not this year so far.

Harper is a boss, and whether I like the kid or not, I understand how good he is. Nonetheless, it is hard for me to look at one year's number and compare them to a guy that has absolutely raked, offensively and defensively, from the day he was called up.

You are correct, as of RIGHT NOW, Bryce has been better. It will be interesting to see if it sticks!

Of course. Just an interesting note. We likely would have gotten something better from the draft picks than Kotchman though. That situation was badly mishandled.

Yeah it was a bad situation all around. I've heard rumors that it was Cox who was pushing for a MLB 1B as part of the return. Who knows. We should have gotten way more than Kotchman.

Yes. Sometimes the best players don't have the best individual seasons in a given year. But you know this. Trout > Harper.

I do know this and the best offensive player in baseball was unfortunately held back by injury and didn't get to show his true ability.
