7/26/15: GDT - Atlanta Braves @ St Loius Cardinals

Who the hell is Adonis Garcia?

If you're not going to bother with reading any of our minor league stuff, don't waste our time asking questions like this.

He was a longtime Yankees farmhand who tore up the IL the first half of the season, was called up for one at-bat last month and returned to Gwinnett. As to why he was called up instead of Peraza, you got me there.

He's a 30 year old 3B/OF from Cuba that the Yankees signed years back, but he never got a shot with them after hitting .319 in AAA last year. I think mainly due to getting a bad rep concerning defense because it wasn't his bat. Braves picked him up as a minor league free agent and he'd been mostly playing third and some OF in AAA before we brought him up.

I thought Mossy was channeling his inner Pedro.

Ne Plus looking pretty dope with the shades and propped brim down in the dugout.

In unrelated news, the Cardinals announcer just said that Uribe had the game winning hit for the Mets today. Looks like the trade has had an impact in the last couple of games for the Mets. It'll take some time to see any future benefits for the Braves.

He's not even starting for them and has already made an impact..

Can't count the number of times the Cardinals' announcer has called our manager Fredi Garcia. I guess when you're the "chosen franchise" you can't be bothered by actually have to learn the names of others teams' managers.

Was just being sarcastic, but my apologies Mr. Shanks.

Joe, soliloquizing on the final pitch of that inning: There one!

:FrediPuzzled:

Viz got squeezed, ball three was a strike and ball four caught the bottom line and could've been a strike too depending on ump.

The Cardinals got their BS run on a missed third strike call last night and half their runs today have come on an overturned call at home plate that required over five minutes to discover some form of "clear and convincing" evidence. Yeah, I realize part of my attitude is jealousy of the Cardinals success but everything about this franchise, fans, and announcers is really getting on my nerves right now.

They do seem to get some huge calls in their favor that shouldn't go that way. But I am probably still pissed over that Wild Card game...

Will it be if they miss the playoffs?
