but Heyward was one year.....this is 3 years of Alex Wood. We did not have to trade him. In the offseason you have more bidders.
It's the age that bothers me. It's very high risk. He could fall off a cliff.
why are we adding a 30 year old player(who's injured) in a rebuilding year?
Remember guys. MLB's future is contact and speed. That means we just traded a future HOFer in Peraza. Surprised thethe isn't mad about him being traded

I like Jose Peraza for what he is, but you're getting way more impact in Hector Olivera's bat. Would be a strong upgrade for Atlanta.
He's 21, almost major league ready, plays a premium position, and can fly. Again, I wouldn't trade Wood alone for that package. Adding in Peraza is absurd.

I don't hate the deal. I'm somewhere between "dislike" and "disappointed."
Can't wait to see Peraza get trashed by the company men here.

For panicky Braves fans: Most in the industry no longer see Peraza as Braves' best prospect. Should be solid, is young, but far from elite.

No ... WE'RE NOT PANICKING HERE AT ALL, JEFF.
