And who should have been in the playoff instead of MSU? Cook has a sprained shoulder that almost certainly will require surgery. Critics and haters can say all they want to, but MSU was a top four team this season. A healthy Connor Cook makes a difference tonight. Doesn't mean they win, but it's not as bad as it was. Either way Alabama is legit and it's not even close. I think this might be one of Snakes best teams he's ever paid for err coached.

While I agree that MSU earned their spot, I think Stanford or Ohio State ends up playing Bama better than you guys did tonight.

A lot of teams could had played better tonight against Alabama than Michigan State did. That was a horrible game. When you have a good team and a month to prepare you should be capable of at least doing something like Oklahoma did today. No reason or excuse to be that flaT.

To be fair, Bama strugged to get a consistent offense going in the 1st half and only scored 17 points through the 1st like 40 minutes of the game. The kick return TD just broke the spirits of the MSU defense (and their team as a whole really) and they looked tired the rest of the game after that.

Yes Bama dominated in all phases to be "fair". That was a pretty big statement.

I'm not a Bama lover by any stretch but those are just called parts of the game.

Maybe. A lot of teams didn't make the playoff so your point holds no water.

And MSU didn't come out flat. They were simply outcoached all over last night. Coach D is one of the best coaches in the country, but if MSU ever does truly become a legit national threat they have to have a high level offensive coordinator. The game plan was way too simple last night and Warner makes some good calls, but has no idea of how to ride momentum over the course of a drive. I have wanted a new OC all season long and until that happens the Spartans can remain in contention in the B1G, win a big bowl game, be relevant in the national landscape, but can't make the next leap.

Ratings for this season's semifinal games tanked. Last season's games had a TV rating over a 15, this year, both games were under 10. I don't care what the Rose Bowl says about their tradition, put the playoff games on New Year's Day.

Ratings would tank more. Than you'd have what 8 games on tv today?

Tennessee looked really good today vs. a good Northwestern team. Should finish somewhere around 16th in the final rankings.

Yeah, UT will get a lot of hype this offseason. Pretty clear favorite to win the East with UF losing a ton on defense and every other SEC East team has question marks at the QB position.

Peyton Manning Jr is headed to Athens, don't forget that!

The BIG not having a good 24 hours. MSU and Northwestern both lost by 30+ points and now Iowa losing by 30+ to Standford.

The SEC putting on a clinic so far this year. About to be 6-2 so far and every single win has been by 20+ points. Still hoping Clemson beats Bama though. And I don't see UGA beating Penn St.

I don't know, I think they will pull it out 6-3.
