2016 Presidential Primaries [ SUPER TUESDAY | 3-1-'16]

Of course Bernie Sanders understands that difference.

Have you been reading the differences he and HRC have over this issue ?

My take is he is looking at student loans being used by lending institutions as money making endeavors much the way savings and loans used housing loans in the 90's and aughts. Hand them out to any one walking in the door then compound that debt by penalties and late fees etc.

That is where his comparison of home and student rates

looking forward to hearing (R) addressing the issue

Hilarious coming from the guy who posts memes with completely ludicrous numbers.

Goldfly made a comment and I asked him directly if banks should lend money for free, to which gold fly responded with "yeah they should"

I never said Sanders said 0%. You're insistence on that tells me you recognize that his tweet shows his lack of understanding of basic economics. And you're original question after I posted the tweet showed me that you lack that same understanding.

My issue with Sanders was that he has no understanding of elementary economic principals. Then you and gold fly came in to start blasting the banks which is what led to the 0% comment. Quit trying to deflect. Just admit you know nothing and move on

I give up. The point of me asking about 0% was just to see how ****ing crazy you lefties are.. and sure enough, Goldy said that banks should lend at 0%.

Back to the original point... Bernie Sanders doesn't understand what most 6th graders understand.

I don't get why you misquote me when you can quote me very easily

they get it for free or should i say less than a percentage point from the gov't when they rig the markets

so, yeah, most likely they should

but on a different note

**** banks

The libs are certifiably crazy and Billary is lying again, like clockwork.

Republicans (they aren't Conversatives) are just as bad, they pander to the vote not the ideal of a Conservative. Heck, Obamination is more conservative and greedy and in bed with business than they are.

Sanders is a loon, a certified loon, he honestly think the rich will pay for his grand socialistic principles boarding on Marxism going to exist in this country? He would shot in two weeks. Making them pay for everything would ruin our country as there would be massive unemployment and banks losing their student loans repayments and what is left of the middle class would have to pay for it all. The rich business can go to Ireland, Switzerland and run their business there, outsource all employment then ship it back here and make massive profits in the process while bending the American people over in the process when they are all on welfare.

No thanks for a good man and good thoughts but this day and age, you are about 3 decades too late. It would been okay then, but not now. This would be the end game and he is only saying this to get political points not knowing in hell how can he accomplish it without losing massive amount of jobs and banks relying on the loans to pay the salaries alluding to the before of them closing and then losing employees. Massive destruction of our economy.

The bottom-line in business is not going to change and he won't change them as they will go elsewhere and hurt him in the process. Remember that. Loss jobs, outsourced jobs, this is what he will force them to do.

Do you really want that? Mom and pop shops will never survive under his rule. They will have to close shop as well.

And when it comes to certifiable loons, AA knows what he's talking about. Happy New Year!

And when it comes to certifiable loons, AA knows what he's talking about. Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!!!

I saw the slight .

If he doesn't think it will hurt business, middle-class business owners and tax payers, he is sadly mistaken.

You know AA, the say you're saying now, the same stuff you usually say on this subject sounds a whole lot like (and when I say a whole lot like I mean exactly like) what Dr. Ron Paul called "corporate fascism". Is this how you want to live the rest of your life? Is this the world you want to leave behind for your kids? Yeah, I know the 1% talk a lot about what they're going to do if someone actually tries to tax them the amount the law already says they're supposed to pay, but answer me this, how much of those horrible old corporate taxes, etc., do they actually pay and how many do their whores over on Faux and talk radio say they pay?

Will they try to move "their money" to other countries if we dare to try and make them live by the same laws you and I live by? Probably, but how many of them already hide in offshore accounts, and in business "holding companies", I forget the actual legal term for it, overseas? What they are is just a bunch of bullies. They threaten and pound their chests, well actually they get their highly paid aforementioned whores to pound their chests for them since that sort of thing is beneath them, which is why they created the TEA party, to get regular folks whose taxes weren't even going to go up to march and bitch publicly on their behalf since that too was beneath "their station".

There's only one way to treat a bully and it isn't what you read from about half the people only this very forum, the very same folks who hold their parasites in Armani suits up as role models. Yeah I know this will piss off a few people, at least those who don't already have me on "ignore". Hey maybe this will encourage more people to put me there, these greedy self serving aholes are literally destroying this country. I still see "snarks" written here when someone talks about the middle class being destroyed and how those stats aren't realistic or correct, but they are, the middle class is dying right before our eyes while we try to figure out how to "let the good people keep a little more of THEIR MONEY" at the expense of those who actually make this country work on a day to day basis.

The top 1% want you to see the economy of this country as not only an all you can eat buffet, but literally and all you and your minions can physically carry out buffet line (pretty much like Michael Moore's plate in, well any type of restaurant), when in reality it's just a regular restaurant. If you go into any restaurant today and order 5 things off the menu but you tell them you're only going to pay for 2 things since you feel like you're already burdened too much, guess what'll happen to you...

Nothing wrong with what you said. But if you want to understand me and you saw this and posted it before.

Middle-Class or small business will get killed.

That is all I care about as I am in that frame. I know I should not care about myself, but if my wife business (she makes more with business and contracts) go away and we have less people at our job, big business would put us out of business and our jobs as they can afford those wages and we can't.

I have no worries, I have 30 people emailing me a day about jobs because of my skills, most of them six figures. Like my mom said why don't you move? I don't want to, they have to come to my terms of staying at my home and drive to the cities twice a week, no exceptions.

Nice house and a 2 acre yard where the kids can do their sledding, four wheeling and electric cars all day. Plus when they get older we can have wiffle ball or soccer games. I have a court suited for my middle one who playes on the team. Love her defense but offense..........need to improve.

I got it good here, as I don't want to move to the Twin Cities area even though both the wife and I have family, practically equal, three cousins each that live there.

What exactly do you think is happening to small/middle class businesses now? When the "big boys" want to whine and bitch like a bunch of little girls that's one of their favorite "straw men" to bring up, "oh what will this do to the small mom and pop businesses". I am now and always have been in favor of exceptions for small businesses or mom and pop businesses. That doesn't mean they don't have rules to follow, etc., it just means the Exxon-Mobils, AT&Ts, Monsantos, Verizons, GEs, etc., of this country shouldn't be able to rape and pillage their workers, their competition, etc., with no consequences. If those aholes want to move to Europe or BFE, or wherever let them but should have to pay back the American people for all the tax breaks, and almost forced labor, and other "perks" they've gotten from us. What I'm saying is they scream so loud about our high corporate tax rate that they hope (and unfortunately they are usually right) that noone will notice that many of them don't pay ****e. Check and see how much Verizon (just to name one) get in corporate welfare every year and while you're checking see how much they actually pay (bottom line cash out) they pay in taxes every year.

Do you really think those huge corporations I just mentioned give two ****es about every small mom and pop business in this country? They just cowards and bullies and don't want the DUMAS lemming American people to see what sweetheart deals they're getting while regular people suffer that they're more than willing to pay millions of dollars every year to their mouthpieces, and spin merchants and "corporate Johnny Cochrans" to keep people in the dark about what really goes on and sadly the American people are about as effing stupid on these things as any group of people who ever lived and the saddest part of all is that they're the worst kind of stupid, the kind that goes willingly. They/we are perfectly capable of seeing and acting on the real truth, they just don't want to, they'd rather just believe what they're told by whichever party, group, sect, denomination, or other group than to actually take the time and effort to learn the truth. After all the truth hurts, it's much easier and less painful to live out your life as a lemming while those who use them as the old phrase "useful idiots" says laugh at them behind their backs and more often than not to their faces because at this point they're too far gone to even know anymore.

And as for your situation, I'm happy for you, you know that. I'm happy that you're worked hard all your life and made yourself a niche situation where you actually get paid like, or at least close to, what you really deserve, but do you think if these aholes finish off unions once and for all that shortly thereafter management won't start a "belt tightening movement" across the board to (insert reasonable sounding BS reason here) and rather than pick up and move again you'll tell yourself it's for the good of the company and they'll take care of me, after all I'm a hard worker, and so on.

OKHawk, you might like David Frum's article in the latest Atlantic. He's a former Bush speechwriter, but he's put together a really balanced piece about what's up with the Republicans this year. It hits on a lot of your points.

The way I can say this and hope everyone see this. Buy from us, companies like my wife. The wife is cheaper than the store and that is why she does it. If she charges like everyone else, she would be out of business.

The kids are in school so she doesn't need a nanny. Her CPA business is good, clients paying close to $3500 a month, her photography which some on here know is so good that people I know are jealous because she is like $150 cheaper and better quality. It has gotten so bad they want weddings and such which my wife won't do. The other photographers try to make her look bad and by the Facebook comments they made is worst on them. I think the main thing is why is my wife $150 cheaper and the quality is like 100 times better. They think those want to make a quick buck and not put effort into it.

The people at work ask why she is not a professional. I told them if she license herself, the government want a fee. She pay taxes on both businesses and that is enough.

In her first year, 300+ clients, most of them where from other people and was not happy with their pictures.

I do want a prayer from you all. Mom and Dad is coming up to watch the kids from Kentucky while the wife is on a pilgrimage in Israel. They said that they have like MOSAD guards watching them. I really hope so.

But she did say if I want to go anywhere I can because of the worries that troubles me afterwards.

You know I think we the American people have "missed it" more on this issue (the economic one) more than any other, maybe even being lemmings at the voting booth. If we had spent just a little more buying from local stores instead of the "you know who's" of the world imagine how much better off this country's economy would be, rather than 7 members of one family having as much wealth as literally 1/2 of ALL Americans put together.

I pray that your wife has a safe and inspirational trip and that your parents don't freeze to death in WI this time of year. ;) My wife's sister and her family live in one of the suburbs of Milwaukee (don't recall if I've mentioned that before or not) and we've been to WI before, several times, during the winter. It's really beautiful up there, just way too cold for my tastes. As I've said before if I could live in FL I would already be there, and the farther south the better. I really love the FL Keys, especially Marathon and Key West. For any of you who haven't been there before you really should give it a try, especially in about May or early June. There is a place between Marathon and Key West that is about as beautiful a place as I've ever seen. It's where they filmed that one scene from True Lies where Ahnold zooms down and saves his wife, Jamie Lee Curtis, from the sun roof of that limo. It's called Bahia Honda and I'll try to get around to copying and pasting some pics here some time fairly soon.

Ben we hardly knew ye:

One obvious theory for how Williams has survived all this turmoil is that as Carson's "business manager" and personal friend, he was focused on the candidate's bank account rather than his presidential aspirations. It would help explain why Carson took time off the campaign trail at the peak of his poll showings to release and promote a new book in places other than the early primary states. Cynics might also point to the Carson campaign's heavy spending on fundraising efforts, costing nearly as much as the large amounts the campaign has brought in. Williams seems to be near the center of a network of back-scratching arrangements among Carson boosters and vendors, though there's no evidence he's personally benefited. Still, it's hard to forget the big hiccup in Williams's career, when he was caught taking $240,000 under the table from the Bush administration's Department of Education to promote the No Child Left Behind initiative on his syndicated TV show. Here's how conservative commentator Leon Wolf summed up his and others' concerns over the Carson-Williams relationship at RedState:

Normally the only thing that really surprises me about politicians is how bad or crooked they can be. I'm not saying he is right or wrong about this stance, but I do have to say I'm surprised by this one.

Here we go:

Ann Coulter Now Suggests Ted Cruz Isn't A ‘Natural Born Citizen’

Conservative pundit Ann Coulter, who once dismissed birthers as "cranks," suggested Wednesday that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) may be ineligible for the presidency because he is not a “natural born citizen."

In a series of tweets, Coulter, an ardent anti-immigration advocate, suggested that Cruz was not a "natural born citizen," a requirement to run for President outlined in the Constitution:
ADVERTISING

NYT: Cruz was born outside the U.S. to 1 American parent: "Under the Constitution this makes him a 'natural born citizen.'” Absolutely false

— Ann Coulter (@AnnCoulter) January 6, 2016

Same lawyers who said anchor babies are in the Constitution now tell us being born outside U.S to 1 American parent = natural born citizen.

— Ann Coulter (@AnnCoulter) January 6, 2016

Cruz was born in Calgary, Canada to an American mother and Cuban father. His mother's citizenship status qualifies him as a "natural-born" U.S. citizen at birth according to legal interpretations of the Constitution.

Coulter herself seemed to recognize this reality as recently as a few years ago. In a tweet from 2013, she explained that Cruz “was born a citizen” by virtue of his mother and “CAN RUN FOR PRESIDENT.”

TED CRUZ CAN RUN FOR PRESIDENT! I worried on @seanhannity @ his Calgary birth, But his mother was a US citizen, so he was born a citizen.

— Ann Coulter (@AnnCoulter) February 14, 2013

In 2009, she also dismissed those who questioned whether President Barack Obama actually was born in the United States as “a few cranks” who were an embarrassment to the Republican Party.

Coulter’s dramatic reversal on Cruz’s eligibility to be President closely mirrored that of his GOP presidential rival Donald Trump, who was once an outspoken Obama birther.

Though Trump told ABC in September that Cruz’s presidential eligibility was valid and had been “checked out by every attorney,” he suggested in a Tuesday Washington Post interview that Cruz could be “tied up in court for two years” over his citizenship status.

As for Cruz, he dismissed these accusations as "political noise" on Wednesday, insisting that the matter was "settled law."
