Braves To Sign Jeff Francoeur To Minor League Deal

I recall scooping this a few months back...

This is seriously the best thing ever (@Brule). I'm going to love spring training this year.
 
Crazy! He probably sees Atlanta at some point with our lack of right handed power...or left handed power for that matter.
 
Just looked at Francoeur's numbers from the past few years . . . Yikes. I see no realistic way he makes the club out of ST, so couldn't hurt. He'd be a good clubhouse presence during camp and at Gwinnett. I suspect one of the things that attracted him to the organization is the proximity of the AAA team to the Atlanta metro area, where I assume he still makes his permanent home.

He'd probably hit more HR's than Markakis this year. Not that he'll get the chance.
