Wonder if Freeman tweaked his wrist. He left his last game (think it was Friday) after just two ABs and hasn't played since.

I don't think Freeman's travelling with the team on away trips yet. He played Saturday, the last home game. Yesterday and today are away.

So are we letting Bourn train Mallex on the Job and just not having a RF??

He played on Saturday and is currently sporting a 2.000+ OPS, so I'm guessing he isn't making any road trips. If he needs/wants any extra ABs I'm sure he can find a place to take some hacks with the minor league teams.
 
good job Blair.. work around a leadoff double with 2 Ks in the inning. Now go have yourself a strong 2nd inning and see if you can build on this..

Mallex Smith is much more polished defensively than he was a year ago. That June ETA might still be in play.

not sure that really answers anything. Striker's reply might have said more..
 
I think the only reason it's a June ETA is because of service time, the fact we're not competing, and the fact we have no pressing need for Mallex.
