GDT: Braves vs Pirates Game 3

2 years ago, aybar was a 3.9 WAR (4.1 oWAR) player. Last year, he was 2.3 WAR (2.6 oWAR). This year, he's -1.5 WAR (-0.8 oWAR).

I just don't get it. Hopefully he gets hot soon

I remember Edgar Rentaria going to the AL had a similar problem.
Braves win

One thing's certain this year--the elephant's not going to be overworked. I hear he's using his extra time to write a book.

Viz for the four out save it looks like. Now they put Castro at short and Beckham at second. If you do that to start the inning the inning has ended and Julio is through 8 innings. Just saying...

True, but if you do that at the start of the inning, Gordon Beckham isn't hitting in the 9th position and doesn't drive in an insurance run in the top of the 9th. The double switch worked to perfection.

Shelby Miller -- 7.25 era 1.74 whip

Jhey -- .237/.342/.298

JUp -- .218/.255/.321

Alex wood -- 4.17 era 1.30 whip

Bethancourt -- .231/.244/.513

Bj upton -- .273/.353/.439

Just found some of these interesting

Wood's been great his last two games, take out that Colorado game and his numbers look better too. BJ believe it or not also has an 7 or 8 DRS in left field so plus defensive numbers too. Which means Padres will probably be able to trade him at deadline if they so desire. Steve Adams even mentioned that in his MLBTR chat today.

Teheran for bj!!!!

No

Miller not looking good again so far tonight, 6 hits and 2 ER through just three innings vs Yankees. Looks like a bad year for him.

IMO, the only way you trade Julio Teheran at this point is if you get a bounty in return for him. With the way he is pitching, you don't trade him unless you get someone's top prospect back plus more.

I'd need a return like we got for Miller, not a return with high risk involved like the Simmons trade.

This supports my earlier post in this thread:

Teheran has a 0.42 ERA (1 ER in 21.2 IP) with Flowers as his catcher and a 4.19 ERA (16 ER in 34.1 IP) with Pyrzynski behind the plate.

Boston and Houston are the 2 teams I'd wanna deal with. Moncada and Benintendi are both untouchable but any other 3 shouldn't be and I'd want Bregman from Houston.
