Meme & Quote Thread

Well you made some weird baby rape post as a point to say the constitution isn't very helpful...

But you may notice that murder isn't in the constitution either... violent acts are best left to the states.

Baby rape isn't in the constitution... I'm guessing the states can handle such an issue.

What I find interesting about this viewpoint - which zito bizarrely shifted to something really weird and unrelated... is that it's true that a libertarian society allows for dissension and different ideas... if a little community wanted to go full on socialism - have at it! But the opposite is not true... in a socialistic society, there is no room for dissent, and a community could not opt out or else they would be jailed or worse. Why is that the case? If the government philosophy is so good and so strong, why not allow the liberty to opt out if they so choose?

In my perusing of the internet, I came across a libertarian blog that posted this meme which I found just too rich not to post, and kind of sums up the style of how you post on here in regards to your opinons of "freedom"

Or you know, you just didn't get the joke.

Zito, there is no dissent or free speech in the democratic socialist countries in the world obviously

don't pay attention to any of the marches or strikes etc going on over there and stay in your free speech zones here in the great land of the free

There are two candidates.
let's talk about trust .

"If you sell someone a Volkswagen and tell them it's a Rolls Royce, it really doesn't matter if some people like their Volkswagen. It's still fraud," Schneiderman said.

Don't know if anyone has seen this. I'm not defending what Hillary did (although I think the whole thing is overblown), just pointing out the hypocrisy.

I'm always skeptical of any meme, but this is just politics 101. Both sides have done this for decades. Freak out about something, forget they've done or said the exact same thing. That, in part, is what gives rise to the Donald Trumps.

I honestly think that the choices this year are a **** sandwich and a giant douche. 24 hr news, the internet and this weird moral certainty that has infect the country through fierce partisanship has made politics a load of garbage. I frankly hate jeebus freak republicans and social justice warrior liberal democrats so much that the older I get, the more I suspect that the world would be a better place to live if they both suddenly disappeared from the face of the earth. Nobody seems to understand compromise anymore, and neither party has any moral high ground to stand on.

The libertarians used to be the voice of reason, but they let the nutjob An-Caps take over and those people are just as bad if not worse than Bernie Sander's flock of ignorant hippy losers.

Are you sure you aren't actually sturg's alternate username?

Nobody seems to understand compromise anymore,

when did "nobody" understand compromise ?

That's the same as sloganeering as "Make America Great Again"

I'll take answer off air

....

" I honestly think that the choices this year are a **** sandwich "

Go back 4 years 8 years 12-16 on and on.
Same old nonsense.

History and voting down ballot and the candidates that have done the work.
As much of a douche I think Trump is, he has done the work and earned it. (R) down ballot voting has given us Trump.
And visa versa.
Example. (D) stayed home in 2010. My thoughts are the same people that are screaming for Sanders and threatening to sit out if he doesn't get the nomination are the ones that sat out 2010 off year election. That gave rise to the T Party and the demise of (D) majority.
Over what? Obama didn't turn the ship of state fast enough. Regardless that left (D) with Sanders and Clinton.
The intolerance and bigotry (R) voted for in 2010 has manifested itself in Trump.

How did you vote in past elections ?
Were you all in as a TBagger or a Hope and Changer ?

This really isn't hard to understand
