Bud Norris to Dodgers

Wow at that Toscana signing! Guess everyone can stfu about international free agent pool money the Braves have since that doesn't exactly work for them. Amazing the complete dismissal of adding offense continues with this organization.

Not saying this would EVER happen because it would destroy our relationship with trainers/handlers.

But hypothetically would it be possible to use one of the upcoming J2 signings as a PTBNL in a deal?? Is there a restriction to how soon those players can be dealt after signing?

Toscano wasn't covered by the int free agent pool $$$ and was brought in to hopefully be a 4th OF'er.

When I watched the Ms Braves play the Shuckers I spotted Toscano's jersey and was like "AHA!!! so he IS real!"

With Norris + Toscano, the Dodgers are taking on ~$5m in salary, with ~$2m of that being 2016 salary. I'd be very pleased if the Braves are just sending $2m and effectively clearing the books of the future commitment to Toscano.

Pfeifer and Dirks don't appear to be anything more than middle-relief prospects, albeit decent ones. I like Akeel Morris from the KJ trade a fair amount more than either of these guys. Seems like a fair trade for both sides assuming the Braves are clearing some future $.

Pfeifer is a K machine, and that's bloody useful! especially for lefty arm even if he is just a setup man one day

Looks like the Braves are stacking the middle relief options with these trades.

I think Gant and Whalen both end there. And all the trades made in-season look to be that.

Definitely like the K rate, but he's also in A ball in his age 24 season. I assume he could move fast though and see AA this season. Although he was a 3rd rounder last year, looks like he was signed way under slot.
