GDT 7/27: Atlanta (Worst) at Minnesota (Wishes They Were)

Guessing Shea Simmons will be one of the players joining the Braves. Maybe Whalen?

I see no way Shea gets called up this early. He just had a set back and just finished his second rehab game... Simmons doesn't need to be called up until September if at all. I also would rush Whalen. He just got promoted to AAA. just bring up one of our other relievers in AA or AAA and wait for Gant/Perez/Viz to come off the DL.
 
Be nice if Johnson can get a couple more saves before the deadline. Maybe we could trade him for something

I legitimately don't understand why the Rangers did this trade. Some people see the logic in it. I don't. UNLESS they're extremely high on Alvarez, it's a massive steal for us.

Absolutely not. Do not tell me that the Braves are actually beginning to sale off arms for bats - I was told by MULTIPLE people that we wouldn't actually successfully do it and that this rebuild is a failure because we have no bats.

Referring to the theory that ran rampant this offseason about how much of a glut of pitching there was and we were silly for drafting\targeting it in trades. 6 months later, the Braves FO has an embarrassment of riches to deal from.

I would personally like to thank Mr. Folty for allowing Snit to showcase more BP pieces last night. I feel good about JJ + another veteran presence should net us another toolsy hitter.
 
I guess I went to the wrong game. Tuesday night's was an absolute snoozer. This one sounds like it had a lot of life.

Geez, Foltynewicz is frustrating. I know when you have a big lead, you're supposed to throw strikes, but you still have to throw quality strikes.
