The Don

Just a pet name? And out of all the thousands of pet names you could've chosen, you chose one that means b!tch and ugly. Very telling.

Look, I know we're just a bunch of somewhat like minded guys and gals shootin' the bull in a somewhat private area and we have to be free to say what we like. Call her what you like but words do color meaning.

I respect your knowledge and experience in any topic that comes up and always looks forward to reading your posts. In the future perhaps you should refer to your pet as The Former Secretary Clinton, at least until next January, and after that either Madam President or Queen of the Light.

What will happen to Republicans that enabled this Trump nomination and refuse to disavow him after so many blatant fouls.

Talking about Senators and House leadership.
Will they pay a political price for this?
Should they ?

I think it depends on the emerging Gary Johnson wing of the party.

Unfriggingreal.

There's a book on my shelf (yet to be read) called The Cheating Culture and I think that's at the crux of this. The world is a lot more slippery now and given the way the news cycle operates, no one can remember what someone said or did a week ago.

It is past time to hold people accountable for Trump.
This is a good place to start:

Sean Hannity claims Donald Trump used his personal plane to transport 200+ Gulf War Marines home. Fact check: Nope.

I had pretty much given up on politics because it was always the same ****, false promises and dip ****s dumb enough to believe it, but this election is so damn interesting. It's like a reality show where we get to pick our slave master.

Unfortunately you might be closer than you realize. ;)

This election is not about Trump losing, but about him losing so badly that it scares the GOP into never flirting with a demagogue again.

Hillary is such a terrible candidate, that despite Trump literally eviscerating himself infront of America. ANd Hillary in a poll for LA Times/USC is only one point up.

I know polls have errors, but she should be smashing him, like 55/35 type of numbers. But she's a horrible candidate. This is the wost election in many many years.

She is in a lot of polls. The electoral projection at electoral-vote.com which has been accurate the last four elections has it at 353-179.

Because Trump had to overcome a massive deficit naturally to win. It would take a great R candidate to take the presidency. Trump is not that man.

Donald had a good line last night that could actually save his campaign. He was talking to a group of evangelicals and joked, “So go out and spread the word, and once I get in, I’ll do my thing that I do very well. And I figure it’s probably — maybe the only way I’m going to get into heaven, so I better do a good job.”

It's a bit of a silly line obviously, but I think it's interesting. A man late in his years who admits that he's consistently been a not great guy and now maybe this is his one last chance to do something good. I think that's the Trump that could win the election.

Will he do it? I'll be shocked if he does.

I heard that and wondered, "What on God's green earth is it that Trump thinks he does very well?"

But he's preaching to the choir. White Christians are now a minority and they're voting for him already. There weren't enough for Romney and there are less now.

Many people now dumping on Trump candidacy failed to subject it to appropriate skepticism back when that was harder to do.

It is not "freedom of the press" when newspapers and others are allowed to say and write whatever they want even if it is completely false!

There hasn't been a political s#it storm of Trump's magnitude in a long time. I give him kudos for his ability stay on the front page.

" Trump denied knowing that Serge was disabled, and demanded an apology, saying that anyone could see his imitation was of a flustered, frightened reporter, not a disabled person. It’s true that Trump was not mimicking any mannerisms that Serge has. He doesn’t jerk around or flail his arms. He’s not retarded. He sits calmly, but if you look at his wrists, you’ll see they are curved in. That’s not the imitation Trump was doing—he was doing a standard retard, waving his arms and sounding stupid: “’Ahhh, I don’t know what I said—ahhh, I don’t remember!’ He’s going, ‘Ahhh, I don’t remember, maybe that’s what I said!’” "
