Predict the Rotation

Julio, Wisler, Folty and two vets, one via trade, one via FA.

Teheran, Kennedy, Folty, De La Rosa, Wisler

Kennedy is a really good prediction -- I completely forgot about him. I've said it before, but I think we need to go after a stud pitcher. You just have to make trades. Don't deplete the system, but we need to make a good trade. Quintana is a pretty match. Add him and Santana, and we have a very competitive bunch.

Teheran, Quintana, Santana, Folty, Wisler -- that's good. Alas, we won't do it, and we'll start the year with a mediocre rotation.

Teheran, Foltynewicz, Jorge de la Rosa, Rubby de la Rosa, Derek Holland. Greg Holland will also be acquired. 2 de la Rosas and 2 Hollands on the staff.

PS--We find a place of Joel de la Cruz and have De La Soul sing the National Anthem.

Phillies aren't picking up Charlie Morton's option. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in our rotation.

Teheran, Ervin Santana, Derek Holland, Folty, Wisler/Blair (Collmenter's option declined.)

Would put payroll around $100,550,000 without renewals, leaving room for a potential addition on offense as well (although I don't really think they'll spend another dime there or in the pen personally).

FWIW, the blurb that the Rangers are probably parting ways with Holland mentioned that he was likely to be moved quickly, so someone's pretty far down the road on a deal for him already apparently.
