Spring Training '17

I'm ready to see what we get out of this team! The second half of 2016 was so much fun that I think I might have been spoiled.

Bowman in mid-season form right out of the gate. He's clearly messing with us.

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- The offseason is over, the roster has been remade and Spring Training has arrived. Soon, the Braves will have an opportunity to prove whether there is legitimate reason to believe they're ready to enter the next phase of their rebuilding process.

I walked into clubhouse after workout, BPhillips & Dansby seated at adjacent stalls on stools, chatting. Rick James' Super Freak on stereo

Ha, I love it. The Nationals bid against themselves, BIG LEAGUE. I'm guessing Rizzo had nothing to do with this, and it's another situation where Boras abuses the ownership.

I'd rather have Wieters at that deal than Suzuski at his deal.

I'd love to get Norris if the Nats want to dump him for nothing.

Personally think it's a great deal for Washington. Only 2 years at most, ONLY $5 million this season (other half deferred).

Would've loved to have seen us offer that - if he chose to stay next season, his salary would have been offset by Big Sexy's coming off the books.

There's a chance that this Wieters deal will work out for WAS, but I think the consensus in the industry will be that they paid a lot more than the next highest bidder. It's just bad business and not the first time they've done this.

you would rather have Wieters at 10 million this year vs. 1.5 for Suzuki? plus Wieters has the option of taking another 11 million from us next year if he stinks? I think I like Suzuki better..
