The Trump Presidency

Me personally - I think it would be immoral for me to rob a rich person and use the money to perform meals on wheels. Would you agree?

Me personally—I don't think it is more immoral than allowing a person to go hungry. I think the latter is definitively more immoral—and worse for the health of a civil society—than the former. Indeed, I think it is more morally important, and more righteous, to protect the many from want than to protect the few from a (usually pretty minor, in the grand scheme) loss of assets.

I think the dumbest cut is to the National Institute of Health. Private industry won't pick up the research slack that would occur as a result of these cuts.

I don't agree.

the drug industry has been far more innovative than the NIH... Yet they are lambasted for charging big prices for cures... see Gilead for example

I think it's sad that you would be OK with stealing from someone... but I at least appreciate you willing to admit... as opposed to the other cowards on this board

You've acknowledged the utility of the federal government, so presumably you're co-signing theft, too, right?

Being embarrassed for my country over Trump's antics is one thing. But knowing that millions of Americans trust him is even worse.

Considering some of the things Paris has seen in the last decade, or in the last century, I can't imagine that Parisians are wetting their pants over a guy shot dead trying to take a soldier's gun.

Politics aside, never seen a White House so confused and lost or an administration more clueless, classless and incompetent. And that's got nothing to do with Rep vs Dem.

But I can't decide if it's by design or if they just can't find anyone who can put one foot in front of the other willing to join them.

Only thing that matters is the results. Your's or my perception is irrelevant.

I think it would be difficult for anyone to have watched the joint press conference with Merkel today and to come to the conclusion that Trump is capable of showing leadership commensurate with his position.

Step it up, homes.

The only thing that anybody is taking away from yesterday's meetings is the non-handshake.

Which looks pretty symbolic given the way the G20 is wrapping up.

A radicalized Muslim.

I'm so confused with the willful ignorance as to what is happening in the world. This is a massive ideological war and the opposing sides has tens of millions of people. And that's a very conservative estimate.

Love that erdogan uses migrants as threats. Even he know's they are bad

Speaking in the central city of Eskişehir, Turkey’s president urged “his brothers and sisters in Europe” to begin a baby boom in their new countries. “Have not just three but five children,” he told his flag-waving audience.

“The place in which you are living and working is now your homeland and new motherland. Stake a claim to it. Open more businesses, enroll your children in better schools, make your family live in better neighborhoods, drive the best cars, live in the most beautiful houses.”

The message was addressed to the 1.4 million Turkish voters who live in Germany, as well as the large Turkish populations in Holland, Austria, Bulgaria and the UK.

Need to stop the madness and pray that Le Pen wins the race. One by one the European countries will come back to reality.
