Fredi is still a new manager.

Bobby didn't figure it out for a few years... we forget this is only Fredi's 3rd full season of coaching (he only had half in FLA).

If he learned anything about patience and stubbornness, it's from his mentor Bobby Cox.

Actually this is Fredi's 6th full season as an MLB manager. He was manager of the Marlins for 3 and half years.

He still hasn't learned having terrible OBP guys at the top of the order is bad. In 2009 he hit Emilio Bonifacio 1st or 2nd in 95 games and Bonifacio carried an .303 OBP that year. At this point I would kill for Simmons to have an OBP of .303.

I remember that game like it was yesterday. The Braves were in a rut and it looked like they were on there way to yet another series loss and then they had an epic comeback on a Sunday afternoon. Down 7-1 and then scored 7 runs in the 8th inning to win 8-7 and that got the season kicked started and the Braves went on tear.
