Trump blasts Syria.

Assad doing this truly makes no sense

1) Regardless of how you feel about the US being in any way involved, the Syrian Civil War has basically been a years-long parade of war crimes. Half a million people are dead, including 1400 in a sarin gas attack.
2) As for the apparent gas attack the other day, I'm not sure how baroque one has to get to bend it into something else. What do you propose?

So, yeah. Kind of a weird take.

But that is a secondary issue.

I'm referring to the gas strike the other day. Which is obviously the cause of this war

Somehow this is being spun as "vital national security interest"

if the left wants to impeach Trump, this is how you do it (and I'd support it). Illegal war. Not Russia nonsense

This is awful because we won't fight the way we need to in order to win this type of war. So dissapointed. Dosent matter who is in office. The deep state always wins.

I don't want a war with Syria or Russia either, but this one strike doesn't mean that will happen. It could actually help prevent further escalations with those two countries. But that depends on what happens going forward.

The "deep state" doesn't have the final say. Trump does. This is a repeat of the Yemen raid in January. Trump approved that action, and this one, because people around him suggested that he'd look tougher than Obama if he did it. It's a character flaw, not a conspiracy.
