GDT: 9-11-13 Braves (Minor) at Marlins(Fernandez) Upton, Uggla sit again

Goddamn Minor. Could you go one game without giving up home runs? And at some point we're going to have to hit.

Meh, Minor would of bad to toss a shutout pretty much.

Fernandez is too good.

Minors struggles vs the Marlins are pretty ridiculous though.

Here's the deal with Minor, if he is going to be the number 1 starter in the post-season then he needs to pitch like it. This is the type of pitcher he's going to matched up against in the post-season and he's failing miserably. He has to step up to the plate and pitch better than this against top pitchers and he needs to stop giving up freaking homeruns.

This. And, our hitters have got to wake the hell up because they're going to see good pitching. Sometimes you've gotta win 2-1 games. Sometimes you've gotta win 7-6 games.

I have to say if I was a good as Hernandez I would be more cocky than he his. I think he's good for baseball. Hit the ball boys, that will shut him up.

Minor has now surrendered four or more runs in four of his last six starts. Worrisome.

Easy to do when you can't keep the damn ball in the park. If it doesn't correct in a hurry, he can't be the No. 1 going into the playoffs.

Yeah at this point, Kris Medlen might have to be your Game 1 starter, he's your most dependable. But this team is in a world of hurt trying to score in the post season off of the Kershaw's and Greinke's, Wainwright's and the like.

Minor always pitches like an asshole against the Marlins. Not sure why that is, but I don't read so much into it.

Splits actually aren't that bad, but he's had 4 pretty awful starts out of 6 now, considering the opposition.

Medlen (only starting pitcher starting to get better in September, not worse)
Minor (looks rough lately)
Teheran (pitching more innings than ever before)
Wood (looks TERRIBLE lately)
Beachy (hurt)
Maholm (hurt)

YIKES! What a disaster. If it derails the season, Wren has no one but himself to blame. It was pretty obvious we needed some starting pitching before the season. Now we have Garcia and Loe starting games in September.
