My mouth would be agape if he weren't so perfect for his President. But I've heard that hagiographic schtick enough at this point that it's rote, run-of-the-mill, unworthy-of-an-eyelash farce.

Perhaps Trump is behind the latest Sessions revelation. Moves the needle closer to Sessions being gone and Trump can get an AG who won't have to recuse themselves. Then they go after Mueller.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing this morning. Trump randomly turning on Sessions in the NYT interview a few days ago, followed by the WaPo suddenly obtaining leaked information about Sessions/Kislyak from 'former senior officials' doesn't really seem like a coincidence. It seems like Trump trying to muscle Sessions out.

Trump also brought attention to the Sessions WaPo piece in his tweetstorm this AM.
 
I doubt Trump wants to ease out Sessions. His next attorney general will have to be purer than the driven snow to get Senate confirmation. Its gonna be a tough job to fill.

There's no way Trump would try to get a pick through the Senate with an ongoing investigation.

He's got two allies in the Solicitor General's office though.
