College Football Thread

Wow gift-wrapped there. Reminds me of my Bulldogs last week, when we couldn't stop a damn thing until Spurrier made an awful call at the goal line.

Alabama -8 and all of a sudden the Aggies are covering the spread. Shouldn't they make it less obvious a game is fixed.

Pretty bad week for the B1G so far. scUM barely holds on against Akron in Ann Arbor. They actually had no business winning the game at all. Nebraska gets smoked in Lincoln. Illinois loses a game against a ranked opponent from a big conference and Penn State...need I say more.

Hard not to be impressed with Manziel today. Oregon and Bama have really separated themselves as the class of college football so far early in the season. Imo, Oregon is the best team in college football right now. Bama would lose if they played tomorrow, but Bama will have time to shore up a few things if they play each other. Bama still has a chance to slip up against LSU and UGA in the SEC championship game, so it's not over for them yet. In fact I wouldn't be shocked if someone snuck in and gave them a surprise upset. I just think they have issues on defense and in the Oline right now. Oregon has what should be an easy path to the championship. Stanford, UCLA and Maybe Washington are their only really challenge games. Would really be a big choke job for Oregon to not get to the national championship this year. I think in the end the SEC is finally dethroned this year.

Oregon actually has a pretty good defense outside of their linebackers. They are legit. A&M has more weaknesses defensively.

Oregon plays nobody though. The Pac 12 is weak. The face a legit team and they lose.

I find it hard to believe you really think your last sentence is true. I think even Bama fans will tell you that Oregon would at the very least give them a very close game.

Stanford last season. LSU the season before that. Oregon doesn't want any part of a real SEC team.
