Can you have a hamstring replaced? If so, wish we could do it for kemp

I believe both Chipper and Pendleton had mid-career hamstring issues that for a while looked to be chronic, but they were able to move past them

The only hammy issue for Chip I can remember is when he ran in the outfield in 2002 for something on the warning track and planted into the wall. Was holding his hammy and thankfully he wasn't out long.

In 2006 he pulled his hammy running down the first baseline the day after we traded Betemit to the Dodgers.

That was oblique I think.

I remember that particularly because they showed Suspenders in the executive box immediately afterward.

Or did he hurt his oblique against the Mets that summer series after the AS break when we were hot and only 9 back and then Horacio sucked and we got swept which forced JS to trade for Baez and the other guy.

I remember Chipper hurting something on a rainy day in SF. I believe it was his hamstring.

I was wrong. It was his knee. I forget how many nagging injuries early 2000's Chipper had. It robbed him of 3,000 and 500.

The injury to Jones' right ankle and knee in the bottom half of the seventh looked far more serious than the diagnosis of a twisted knee and lateral ankle sprain.

"He charged a slow grounder by Mike Matheny and skidded on the wet infield grass. As he slid, Jones rolled over on the ankle and twisted the knee before crumpling to the ground, where he lied on his back with his glove over his face to mask the pain he felt."

The one I'm talking about was that series against the Mets, and it was right after we traded Betemit to the Dodgers for Baez and Aybar. They showed JS because he knew we just traded away our insurance. Aybar actually turned out to be a solid player though when healthy and not suspended.

Incorrect.

This is the game against Mets that Chipper got hurt with the strained oblique. Betemit subbed in for him.

JS traded Betemit the next day as Orr was starting at 3B. Baez and Aybar didn't come to the team until that Sunday though.

Betemit was soooo good for us defensively when he filled in for Chip and offense. Could not believe JS traded him for that garbage we got in return.

Oh I remember that. As well as the HOU 2010 one. :(
