Antifa

Back to my question... since flags and symbols are so important, are we not bothered by them covering their faes with a symbol that represents governments who killed hundreds of millions of people?

I'm not really down with the covering of faces or identity hiding and on the internet as well. I feel like people should reap what they sew about their ramblings or beliefs.

If you choose to participate in this type of stuff, or comment... should reap whatever that brings.

I'm more interested in the communism symbol.

A symbol that represents reprehensible mass murder.

Since carrying a confederate flag represents slavery and thus you are a white nationalist, I do wonder if the same logic applies for our friends on the left?

Fasicsm is always implemented by the silence of opposition views.

Nope. The linchpin of Fascism is hyper nationalism. In this thread you said Antifa isn't American, so how can they be Fascist? For example a common tactic in rise to power of Fascists is to talk about the glory of the past. Mussolini talked about the glory of the Roman empire, Hitler the glory of the German Reich and restoring their nation from their current troubled state to make them great again.

Just as a parenthetical note, since you guys are always mentioning the campus protests, it bears mentioning that the only use of deadly force in those incidents was a shooting by a Milo supporter.

The shooter's husband wrote this beforehand:

"I’m going to the milo event and if the snowflakes get out off hand I’m going to wade through their ranks and start cracking skulls.”

Not all violence is murder, but you know this.

Considering that the photo of what you showed that had the communist logo anywhere was of the Revolutionary Communist Party of Canada, not Antifa. I think that deserves it's discussion in it's own thread.

The goal is to overthrow all non progressive government's and create a one world order.

Are you saying fascism isn't implemented through the silencing of opposition views? Seriously?

There were communist flags being waved at bernie sanders rallys

Thanks for avoiding the questions. I'm shocked, I tell ya

Crazy conspiracy theories aside, you just described something that isn't fascism at all. Not all authoritarian political beliefs are fascism. Maoism for example is really big on silencing opposing views, but isn't fascism.

Picture one turns up no google results aside from twitter/funnyjunk posts. Which aren't viable news sources. Hardly any concrete evidence that person with the flag is tied to any group.

Picture 2 turns up only in a search for the huntington beach Pro-Trump rally where 30 people protested against it. More on the heroism of the 2000 Trump supporters who felt the need to beat up 30 counter protesters can be read here. Also not organized by Antifa, but included groups like Socialist Party USA
http://www.ocregister.com/2017/03/2...marchers-some-protesters-and-a-violent-brawl/

Picture 3's tie to Antifa is the Boston Free Speech rally from may, which I saw no evidence of aside from a youtube video so it seems to be a screen grab. Maybe your best tie yet.

Picture 4 has no ties to anything aside from some infowars bit.

Basically all these kind of just continue to prove my suspicion that Antifa is a boogeyman that's rolled out by the far right media as a means to justify the actions of their radicals. It is worth noting that for sure the last picture and possibly the one before that aren't depicting the soviet flag but the generic hammer and sickle communist symbol. It was adopted into the soviet flag, but the star is the important Soviet indicator.

LOL... there are literally speeches of antifa groups claiming their end goal is communism.

This seems like such a weird thing to argue from you.

Regardless, let's say you're right. Let's say NOBODY in antifa carries the communist flag (lol), will you answer my original question about flags and symbolism?

The hammer and sickle, despite its origin as a symbol of solidarity and liberation, has been IMO poisoned by its association with mass killing and oppression in the USSR and elsewhere. Personally, I wouldn't wear it or fly it, so perhaps you should ask someone who would. I'm sure you'll get an earful.

Majority of Antifascit things I've read generally have a libertarian lean to them. They're generally pro-civil liberties though with a heavy liberal lean. I think you'd agree with most of what they believe. They're anti-US War Machine, anti-drug laws, think things like Trump's wall are useless wastes of money, and others. Again I don't think you'd agree with them wholly. But given your libertarian beliefs I'd assume aside from some of their more liberal stances you'd be more with them than the republicans and for sure the Neo-Nazis/White Supremacists.

I agree. So are you at the point where anyone wearing that symbol is sympathetic with mass murder? Because, that is the same logic as you've espoused for the Confederate flag

Yeah, but see... they're not pro-civil liberties because they don't believe in free speech
