Game of Thrones

I didn't stop calling him "Carcetti" until around Season 3 of GoT. But by now, when I rewatch The Wire, it's hard to not think of him as Baelish.

I feel like they're fairly similar characters, at least position and motive-wise.

Trying to isolate Sansa from her surviving family so she only has him to turn to. I don't think he quite realizes what he's messing with in regards to Arya.

He was setting her up in the last portion of the show. BUT, I agree with you. He doesn't appreciate what he's dealing with in her or Brann

He wasn't really setting her up. He just made sure she saw the Sansa letter so that it would drive a wedge between the two. It's all about Sansa, for him, which is why he will misstep with Arya and/or Bran.

Bronn is such a badass that not only is he the hero of Blackwater, not only did he take down a dragon, not only is he undefeated in trial by combat, but he also managed to carry a fully armored Jaime 500 yards underwater. Just give him the throne. It's clear nothing can stop him.

Also, I really don't see why Davos bothered even going to Eastwatch if he was just going to sit out. He should head back to Winterfell to counsel Sansa, especially with Jon knowing how conniving Littlefinger is and that he wants Sansa. I guess he's a noob at this whole king thing though.

And I'm not sure I understand how Jaime betrayed Cersei. He had no idea he was going to meet Tyrion, and right after he did he told Cersei about it. Seems like the opposite of betrayal to me.

My prayers to the drowned God paid off! Just saw a leaked scene on youtube.

Apparently HBO accidentally played the episode in Spain and that's how we got the episode. I think this is a clever marketing strategy. Watch HBO even when your show isn't on just in case we play the new episode by "accident". The episode will probably get more live views because of the leak based on how awesome it is. HBO also doesn't have advertising to get mad at a theoretical loss of views.

Yeah it all felt a bit cheap. I gotta think that at least someone big is dying at King's Landing next week. Otherwise it's going to be a really dumb episode.
