I don't know what they're doing about the VC on the switch. So far it's really lacking. While the Wii U had a fantastic VC.

Lacking... it doesn't even exist yet. I have no idea what they are thinking with their classic content. If ever there were a system built to take full advantage of it, its the Switch. I would love to see them to release everything from the Gameboy through the Gamecube. Nintendo would clean up.

I love my Switch, but I hate waiting around for games to play on it.

There is something, I forget what they are. They aren't Nintendo games but some old console.

I think they're waiting for their online service to be ready, they already announced that you get classic games for free everymonth with the service.
 
I'm kind of sad to say that I let the Steam and GOG summer sales go by without purchasing anything. Not for lack of wanting, mind you, it's just that it came at an odd time. I did purchase a New 3DS Galaxy with Fire Emblem Awakening (which is amazing) and Monster Hunter 4U though.
 
The companies should fully embrace the rom craze when it comes to everything from the 2600 up through the PS2. But it's just like a lot of things not gonna do it because they can't figure a way to make money. It's just like that Mini from Christmas, put an sd slot in that sucker and sell the classic library on sd card and you make a mint. Lucky Raspberry Pi's are cool.
 
Got 2 new gaming toys yesterday from Prime Day. The Dark Souls 3 full edition or whatever it's called. Super late to the party but I don't really care, it's a fun timesink.

Then I got a new gaming PC, pretty solid specs across the board, AMD RX 580 GPU and AMD Ryzen 7 1700 processor. Got the PC for 949 which isn't bad since those 2 components cost over 500 on newegg not factoring in MB, the 16 gigs of ram. Overall I'm happy about the deal and selling my old PC and some extra parts should get me 300-400 so I will only really be paying like 600 for the computer.

I haven’t really played video games since Medal of Honor on the PS2. I’m thinking about getting the new Call of Duty and Perhaps the new Star Wars battlefront. Should I go with a ps4 or xbox one?

As an XBox One owner, I whole heartedly recommend the PS4. The game selection is immensely better.

Eh, depends on if you like Gears or not. For what he wants to do, it's minimal difference. For me I loathe the playstation controller. I wouldn't buy it for the 3 exclusives I'd actually really want. Especially at the cost of Gears and Forza. Sadly only Nintendo is really worth it for as far as exclusives which the games he wants aren't Switch games. If you have 4K XBox One X is superior to PS4 Pro so you'd get better quality.

Yes. If money isn't an issue the Scorpio is best pound for pound.

For me I really wish I could play those PS4 exclusives. I never liked Gears and XBox hasn't produced an exclusive besides Forza or Halo that really justified the console, IMO.
 
The Switch is way better than both though. I have to carve time out of my life to play a console. The Switch fills all those little wasted gaps of time that I used to spend trolling Twitter. It's a life changer.

I would largely agree. But the same is true of Sony for the most part. I feel like there are more switch exclusives now than there are for the other 2 combined.

That's not really true, the stability of XBox live is pretty rad. But the line is certainly almost non-existent between the 2. I still prefer playing games on the XBox. Mainly because I find the lure of the internet too distracting on the PC.
