The Trump Presidency

The irony is that you don't see how the expansion of the social welfare system slaps individual liberty in the face.

A system that allows one group of people to hoard the fruits of a society, which include freedom, deserves a slap in the face. But let's be clear that America's tax system is far from a "slap in the face." That kind of exaggeration belies an underlying premise that the others are less worthy.

Why wouldn't you want a system that gently redistributes wealth and economic opportunity to your brothers and sisters???

I'm not against tax or welfare and never have been.

Merit Based

what does that mean to you ---

What are you advocating for parameters ?

who decides , merit ?

Do you think Trump/David Duke/Jeff Sessions version of white identity politics will be the measuring stick ?

Will they try to subvert the 1st Amendment by having a religious litmus test ?

Merit is based on the fact that you don't need the government to provide for you and you haven't been convicted of crimes in your hometown. I'd also make speaking English a priority.

what does that mean because it seems kinda open ended.
a) in some way shape or form "government" provides for everyone
b) a lot of those wishing to come here are coming to escape "crimes" in their hometown
c) what about where there are differences in law ? Perhaps something illegal in say Kslppt, Norway yet legal in USA

Off hand a language requirement sounds unconstitutional -- I don't know.
Like many, my family learned to speak English here

They ****in' wrote the lines for Trump's doctor.

Sleeping only 4-5 hours a night is "probably one of the reasons he's been successful"?

His genes are so good he could "live to be 200" with a good diet?

What ****in' doctor says that?

Does the constitution apply to non-US citizens?

As I've said many times over. If you contribute more than you take you are ok with me unless there are obvious obstacles such as disability/elderly/children/other extenuating circumstances.

People escaping crimes does mean they have committed them.

I should have specified - No crimes such as murder/rape/assault/etc...

Let's try this simply: physical space to exist. In the modern world, I can't just go out and live somewhere where people aren't, and call it mine. I either have to pay rents to landowners (coercing participation in the capitalist system), become a landowner (coercing even more participation in the capitalist system), or exist illegally in vagrancy (a state out of which I will eventually be coerced). I have no-option of non-participation; and even if I'm not being directly taxed by the government, most people will end up taxed by landowners in the way of rent (with many fewer protections thereof in the absence of regulatory bodies).

If we're going to start living wherever we want then I'm building a cabin in Yellowstone.

Kelly calls some of Trump’s campaign pledges on immigration, wall ‘uninformed,’ meeting attendees say

“He has evolved in the way he looks at things. Campaign to governing are two different things and this president has been very flexible in terms of what’s in the realm of the possible,” Kelly told Fox.

In other words,Trump is a bull****ter

the pillow talk the orange one has with a porn star that you have an affair with:

“He told me once that I was someone to be reckoned with, beautiful, smart, just like his daughter,” she said.
