OK, AA is garbage lol
Pipeline isn’t updated. Baseball America has them as 1, 5 and 9 in their system. That’s a good haul.
If they were insisting on Acuna headlining any deal with us then AA was wise to say no IMO. This seems more the Marlins viewing Brinson as close to Acuna in value.
And they demanded acuna from us? Pfft...this package is very light

So it would have cost us Acuna, Allard and Say Jackson...that’s stiff.
Going by the BA top 100.
Brinson was 18, Harrison was 75, and the other two were unranked.
Gohara was 23 and Soroka was 27. would have need one of those
Riley at 54
Fried at 72
Feels like Soroka, Riley, Fried should have been able to get it done.
I think I woulda pulled the trigger
I think the Marlins wanted an impact hitter in return.
I expect they were still asking Acuna plus from us and AA said no. Maybe they said okay no Acuna give us Albies as suggested by Talking Chop recently, but either way AA would be right to say no at this point IMO.

Yeah i was ok with getting him but Ozzie/Acuna were off limits, anyone else in the system is fair game.
I was hopeful after hearing the talks at the GM meetings, but then changed my mind after hearing they want not just Acuna. They wanted a package of players headlined by him. That was not just a no from me, that would be a hell no...
