Lol, that literally said nothing. He was talking about that's what we would have had to try and make work on our end, not what it would have took to actually sign Frazier. 8 million or so to spend on ONE player probably isn't in the cards if they want to add a 3b, RP, and SP with their remaining budget. This isn't anything new. They have likely around 10-15 million remaining and spending more than half of it on one player isn't too smart unless it's a complete bargain.

#Braves expect to make a "small, depth-type move" to add a position player in next 24 hours. Anthopoulos stressed it would be a depth move.

My guess it won't be anyone we have discussed in any deapth.

Absolutely. He's definitely not worth an overpay, but he's a really good option if the deal is right.

I think it's more likely Moose agrees to a 1 or 2 year deal in the 15 million dollar range and tries to test FA again the following offseason. Or may be he signs and gets and opt out clause. He has basically no suitors at this time. I'm still not sure why the Orioles don't sign him let him split time with Beckham and DH. Then have Beckham shift to SS in 2019 when Machado leaves.

That would be an awesome deal and would set us up big time going into next offseason. We would have the pieces to trade for an ace or Lf no doubt and the money to fill any hole we have.
