Such a damning report would give President Trump new ammunition to criticize Mr. McCabe, who is at the center of Mr. Trump’s theory that “deep state” actors inside the F.B.I. have been working to sabotage his presidency. But Mr. McCabe’s disclosures to the news media do not fit neatly into that assumption: They contributed to a negative article about Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration’s Justice Department — not Mr. Trump.

The department’s inspector general, Michael E. Horowitz, has zeroed in on disclosures to The Wall Street Journal as part of a wide-ranging investigation into, among other things, how the F.B.I. approached the 2016 inquiry into Mrs. Clinton’s handling of classified information. Mr. Horowitz has said he expects to release a report this month or next.
 
Sure, but ego stroking alone is going to lose to ego stroking + millions of dollars of campaign bucks, lobbying, and legislative and regulatory capture.

At what point does Trump just run out of people for positions. We are a little more than a year in, imagine if this goes 8 years.

Ya know if Trump really wants to drop an atom bomb on Sessions he could legalize marijuana or atleast reschedule it. I guarantee Sessions would get sand in his vagina over it and resign. Feels like a pipe dream but Trump's BFF Roger Stone looks to be going all in on legalization. He might not have Trumps ear now but Stone was a friend and supporter to Trump way before anyone else. I bet Trump comes back to him if things are looking bad going into the 2020 elections. Legalization could bring Trump 10-12 million new voters.
