Yes. I think he is useful as a corroborating witness. He might provide some new leads, but they would have to be independently verifiable.

Do we? I don't think we will know how good the evidence is until a trial is held. Although the judge did make some telling remarks about the strength of the case against him to Manafartov yesterday. What Mueller is doing is very far from a charade.

And Mueller has not been son to have any impact on trump Russia collusion so this correlation is irrelevant at this point.

Perhaps that's why it took so long. No need to ask Trump when Mueller knows he'll just lie.

Focusing his attention away from Trump also helped put Trump in a false sense of security. Now with the evidence already gathered, he asks Trump to in effect verify what he already knows. But what does he know? Trump must be wondering.

It's as if Mueller is just daring Trump to lie or falsify documents.
 
Every single new piece of information incites comments like "perhaps he was doing that because..."

I have a feeling the subpoena of the Trump Organization records is largely to confirm and round out information already received from Deutsche.
