The Trump Presidency

Trump and Kushner paved the way for MBS to assume the mantle of power in Saudia Arabia. Kushner in particular.

So, you tell me what this might have to do with the Trump administration?

Everything feels like a remedial course with you.

we are crediting Kushner - are we ?

I have no earthly idea what this has to do with the Trump administration.
Or what they have done to deserve credit
Or what they gave the Saudi's and Israeli's 's to lure them to this meeting ?
So,
Yes, I need remedial course when it comes to crediting Jared Kushner with foreign policy initiatives.
Has he been granted a security clearance yet?

You have been reading reports where Kushner is a laughing stock in global diplomatic circles.
I will let you take this one back

[B]Next time Donald Trump doesn't have the time to call a family of a dead

US servicemen killed in action, remember that he has the time to call

Roseanne Barr to congratulate her on 'ratings

and this is who brokered thousands of years of Biblical tension ?
C'mon man

Maybe Jared Kushner can act as his attorney too
Miracle worker he is

I count three times in this post where you contradict yourself.

It must get tiring being so confused all the time.

Let's take things one step at a time.

1) What are we 'crediting' Kushner for?
2) Who are 'they' that 'deserve credit'?
3) Getting more confused ... who's 'luring' who here?

Keep in mind you are operating under the pretense of having no "earthly idea what this has to do with the Trump administration".

4) Ok, well that's why I'm here. To teach you things.

5) I don't know.

6) I don't understand why you struggle with style formatting so much.

MBS's elevation was applauded by the Trump admin, but it seems a stretch to say that they paved the way for it...though they've certainly seemed to be hand-in-glove since.

We've co-signed on the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and his "anti-corruption" shakedown in exchange for what, exactly? I guess we'll see, but Kushner's involvement doesn't seem terribly comforting. Dude is a born mark.

It's nigh impossible to imagine MBS executing a coup d'état as ballsy as the one he pulled off without some pretty explicit backing/promises from the United States.

And of course there's the very public and very matching timeline.

I'm still enjoying the idea that Obama should get credit for anything positive in the middle east.

Curious what President has left a positive Middle East legacy ?
Going back to Woodrow Wilson

"the shores of Tripoli..." ?

I got ah idea,
Why doesn't he get the Saudi's to pay for the wall ?

" Kushner in particular "

I have a novel idea.

Why don't you make a point - and then we can discuss it.

Your brand of dirt kicking is so incredibly vacuous.

You don't like Kushner. You don't like Trump. We get it.

Your worldview is so incredibly small that you can't express an opinion or acknowledge a reality independent of your personal feelings.

It's an undisputed fact Kushner was extremely involved with MBS around the time of his virtually uncontested ascent to power.

To say nothing of Middle East peace.

Now back to your regularly scheduled Russian tweetbotterings.

Obama's hallmark "positive" move in the Middle East was to kill a powerless guy who was hiding out, in public, in the backyard of one of our strategic partners.

Good one.

Keep em' coming.

REALLY? "I don't know what that means a community college," @realDonaldTrump says in Ohio.

"Call it vocational and technical. People know what that means.

They don't know what a community college means."

while Jared is busy with the Saudi's and the Israelis

"Ivanka, who is working hard on infrastructure,”.

and "Tiffany."

the quotation marks are real - as in, it is what happened
The Jared part well, thethe and Hawk assure, because they think so

In the event anyone (*cough*) wants to get ... caught up ... and crawl outside the shiny vacuum for 5 minutes:

MBS is emboldened by strong support from President Trump and his inner circle, who see him as a kindred disrupter of the status quo — at once a wealthy tycoon and a populist insurgent. It was probably no accident that last month, Jared Kushner, Trump’s senior adviser and son-in-law, made a personal visit to Riyadh. The two princes are said to have stayed up until nearly 4 a.m. several nights, swapping stories and planning strategy.

There seems to be a general consensus in Washington that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s ongoing purge of princes and businessmen — including the wealthiest of them all, the business mogul and Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal — is motivated by his determination to consolidate his power, well before his father, King Salman, passes from the scene. He is in this regard a latter-day Adonijah, who had himself crowned king while his father King David was alive. And, like Adonijah, Mohammed bin Salman has made some very powerful enemies in the process. Unlike that Biblical figure, however, he has his father’s support and has taken care to arrest anyone who might threaten his drive to preeminence.

Jared Kushner, U.S. President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior advisor, was in Riyadh again only recently. It was his third trip to Saudi Arabia since Trump took office. He again met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, with whom he appears to have established a close personal relationship. It should therefore come as no surprise that Trump, who shares the young crown prince’s antipathy toward Iran, has commented favorably on the recent developments in Riyadh.

O'DONNELL: One of the things that President Trump has talked about is Middle East peace. He has his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, working on that. That's part of his portfolio. I know that you've met with him. Have you discussed Middle East peace with him?

MOHAMMED BIN SALMAN: That's right. Jared is assigned this portfolio by the White House.

I'm just not sure many in this board will ever identify /acknowledge/ give credit to this administration ever.

For some insane stupid reason we supported Iran for the last 8 years. About as poor of a play as could be made. I refuse to believe the people running this country are stupid so they had to know this would happen.
