GDT 10/3/13: Dodgers (Kershaw) @ Braves (Medlen) - NLDS Game 1 - 8:30 PM

I guess I should just relish in the fact that even if Medlen had been smart and taken his walk, no way Heyward wouldn't have bounced into a 4-6-3.

Two doubles to Ellis on poorly-played balls by our corner outfielders. Braves postseason baseball: feel the magic!

A.J. Ellis hit .203 in September, and had 3 doubles the whole month. He has 2 in this game. Braves post season baseball!

I know this kinda goes against all the playoff failures we had with a few legit aces, but until someone on this staff turns into one or we trade for one, we're not going anywhere until we get a legitimate ace. Our rotation and pitching depth is great and all for the regular season, but this fringe/pseudo-ace stuff rarely cuts it in the playoffs.

Truth.

EDIT: Medlen is FAR FAR FAR away from being even considered an ace.

Aces don't just grow on trees.
