All pitchers aim for the edges of the zone. If they miss it is either a ball, or a strike in the middle of the zone.

Do you think some pitchers magically miss in the zone and some magically miss out of the zone? As if they control how they miss their target?

If it happens it will only be with experience. Sometimes the one downfall for players that have a great hit tool like that is they think they can hit everything so the walks will be limited.

Headley is likely to be released soon, once that happens I'd sign him for the league minimum just to give him a look. It won't cost much and if he bounces back he might at least be someone to platoon with Camargo.
