2018: The Year Of The Venezuelan Trout

Ronald has 4 HR and 2 SB in 19 games.

By that rate, he will have 24 HR and 12 SB for the entire year.

He needs to get hot, which I think he will. He's already been through his first slump.

Is 24 HR and 12 SB more or less than 30 HR and 30 SB?

Math is hard. Thanks.

I do think he has .900+ OPS, and 30/20 potential (the steals on the latter side) but I'll keep standing by it, it's going to be next year, not this year.

Even if a top prospect performs well, it's just so rare for it to be linear, and for there to not be bumps. I think he ultimately ends up staying between .260-.280 with an OPS around .800-.850 for the rest of this year. Maybe he gets hot power wise and it's higher, though.

Trout's age 20 OPS: .963
Acuna's age 20 OPS: .795

Hmm....math is hard, but something isn't right

Pretty cool how you skipped Trout's rookie year. What was the OPS that year, Enscheff? The fact that you feel a need to bully a kid doesn't say much about you. It'd be laughable if it wasn't so pathetic.

What? His age 20 seasons was his rookie year and he won the award.

You better delete this post...

Too late.

You're right. He missed the cutoff in 2011 by seven at-bats. I forgot about that. However, his 2011 season which he was age 19-20 he was less than spectacular.

This is a true story. Comparing any prospect to the future GOAT is foolish regardless of who it comes from.

I still see Acuna being a young Justin Upton.

Okay. So, now the question is why you’re comparing Trout’s 135 ABs when he was almost an entire year younger than Acuna is now.

This is a true story. You missed the whole point. I was chastising Enscheff for behaving like an idiot again.

We know, but you missed the mark completely.

I’m not sure why you’re taking that particular Enscheff comment so seriously. He’s clearly trolling, and I don’t see anything particularly malicious about it. He’s just having a laugh. It’s not like he’s name calling or the like as he’s done in the past.

True but you're missing a crucial point. He has a need to feel that he's right all the time and that includes running over someone that's extremely young. I just think it's pathetic.
