GDT: 6/8 Braves at Doggerels

Well at least the Braves get to hang onto their prospects until after the season. This team isn't making the playoffs without major changes.

Eh, Dodgers are SCORCHING hot right now.

And Braves schedule after LA softens up a little bit but even if the Braves didnt make it and finished with 83-86 wins, thats still gigantic progress from where they had been the previous 3 years.

The NL WC if you assume the Nats will eventually pull away doesnt look like more than 3-4 teams in the WC mix. I think Philly falls out, as well as Colorado. So it comes down to Mil/Chi, Stl, and Az, SF? I think Dodgers eventually pull away in the West.

And Wild at Heart and Adaptation and Joe.

But yet, it’s called Dog Eat Dog.

Adaptation is actually my favorite Cage movie, fyi. It also happens to me my favorite Charlie Kaufman film, btw.

BTW, why do you bother putting the titles in italics when you’re on your phone? Too much of a hassle.

Really need to get at least 1 this weekend. Hopefully soroka and Acuna can give us the shot in the arm we need this coming week.

Even though Acuna has struggled recently, his presence alone just deepens and strengthens the lineup.

When you can put Culberson and Tucker on the bench as well as move Swanson back down to 7 or 8, it's a great thing.

How much longer does McCarthy get in the rotation? When Soroka is back? When Soroka and Teheran are back? Will McCarthy have a "nagging" injury that places him on the DL?

In a limited sample size, Sanchez has done better.

This is from rotoworld, with the off days the Braves have, they dont need a 5th starter until next week.

Mike Soroka (shoulder) struck out seven while yielding just one run on three hits and one walk in his first rehab start with Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday.
This is after he tossed 3 2/3 perfect innings in a rehab outing with Low-A Rome last week. Soroka got his pitch count up to 73 on Thursday and will make one more rehab start before rejoining the Braves' rotation. Now is the time to stash him if he's been dropped.

So looks like Sunday or Monday?
