low blow
Prospect writer is Dave Stewart
Some of these "writers" work at Bobs Big Weeny. I sit next to or get to talk to numerous scouts or knowledgeable people at least. Literally no one has had a report this half-azz. Touki is not all the way there, but his curve is devastating...Stewart now owns the curveball crown, but Touki's is unreal.
Prospect fatigue?
He eliminated himself by just talking about his fastball. Three keys to a good fastball. Velocity, movement and location. If a pitcher is going to have two then touki has the right two. This guy should be immediately fired by his clubs gm for posting that garbage. I don’t care who it was about.
So basically this guy is saying touki’s FB has velocity and life but. Um. Yeah that is what a good FB should have. Dumbass.
"doesn't miss bats in the zone" = 10 Ks.
Allard k9 at 6.12 this season. Steamer projects 7.01 though.
His FIP is 3.37 at 75 ip. Pretty impressive for a 20-year-old at AAA
At this point he’s as reasonable a chance as Teheran.
And much cheaper.
"doesn't miss bats in the zone" = 10 Ks.
In all fairness, he could be striking them out looking. If we can measure called strikes vs. swing & miss strikes, is there a stat for fooled them on the pitch (whether they were fooled and watched it or were fooled and swang foolishly)
"doesn't miss bats in the zone" = 10 Ks.
cheaper doesn't really have relevance here tho.
It would if you could give Teheran away. Which the Braves absolutely should do if they can.

true, just don't have much hope for that.
I do wonder if some team wouldn't mind that salary just for the innings with the chance that maybe he is a little better than average at that salary.
Disagree wholeheartedly! It's dumb even thinking about it UNTIL he shows he can't be a starter. The clown who wrote that takes one start that was more than decent to assess that? I've seen him enough to think he's not bullpen material just yet. Maybe in a couple of years but the Touki you're seeing now is good.
