Another Early Start - GDT 10/6/2013: ATL (Julio TEHERANOSAURUS!) @ LA (Ryu) Game 3

Let's say Fredi decided to use Medlen in game 4 on short rest and he drops an egg, then we'll hear people say "You should've just stuck with Garcia like you said you would. No balls, our manager has none."

I really don't like this argument.

Yes, some people would certainly say that. But I wouldn't.

SO goddamn sick of this piece of crap complaining about every strike call. He is going to have to have a damn MVP season next year to make up for this pathetic excuse of a performance.

On the bright side, the inevitable anemic performance against Capuano is being wasted by the Dodgers in a game that they could have finished out with Schumaker.

I can already see it:

Medlen or Freddy drop an egg in game 4.

Why not have Maholm instead? He's been with us all year, Freddy only had a few good starts with us.

Why not pull him out earlier? WTF Fredi.

Why didn't McDowell go and calm him down sooner WTF. Do you not care Fredi?

Where was that pitch umpire, DAMNIT. Fredi go get ejected DAMNIT.

We had a better chance if Fredi used Hale as a starter instead, he was really good for us in his only two starts.

Anybody know why Hudson couldn't come back from his ankle injury? WTF Fredi.

I hope Ayala gives up a few runs, so then people can say "Great Job bringing in Ayala to pitch Fredi, way to blow the game."

I get what you're saying, but this is a little asinine. You're making the argument that any criticism of Fredi is unwarranted and based on nothing more than hindsight and emotion. Surely you can't actually believe that.

Sorry I'm not going to defend starting a guy who was absolutely dreadful and happened to cobble together a couple successful starts here in September, with our season on the line.

But I'm not going to jump all over Fredi either because like I said before, we'll find other ways to screw up.

it isn't a 2000's braves playoff series w/o a disheartening loss..

that said, i predict a walkoff off of kimbrel tomorrow

Fredi has his issues, I've been watching all the playoff games.

Hurdle has made questionable decisions, Matheny has, Maddon has, Mattingly we've seen it, Leyland. Luckily Farrell has yet to be in a tight spot to make a decision like that and Melvin really hasn't had to do anything.

Well, the law of averages says that the Dodgers shouldn't score many more runs in this series. Then again, Freddy Garcia is starting tomorrow.

I think you're making way too big of a deal of posters saying that our season should not rest on the shoulders of Fredi Garcia - a man who was released by the Baltimore Orioles because he was so terrible.

Any manager we hire is going to make some questionable moves. Any manager with experience is going to be trained by some old school method of managing, and he's not going to make 85% of the people on this board happy.
