2018 Trade Deadline ROSTERBATION

Gohara for 2 BP arms would be tough to swallow when we’ve seen other BP arms go for very little.

Kela is 25 with, I believe, two more years of control and has demonstrated he can close. That's pretty valuable.

More importantly I think this shows that the league has soured on Gohara a bit.

Still, it would be a steep price.

quality relievers with control have been the priciest acquisitions thus far. Rentals relievers the cheapest.

Somewhat concerning our gm’s stated strategy is the former.

Gohara for two relievers is questionable. If you put a quality bench bat in there it starts to look better.

But gohara and Allard and fried are the threeproapects I’d be most willing to deal for something good.

I’d hoped it would be for more than ancillary pieces.

But let’s see what it ends up being. Beltre could be in there too.

While I realize controllable BP arms are more expensive, the volatility of those arms makes me hesitant to pay for that extra value.

Is Kela one of the dependable elite guys like Miller where it makes sense to pay extra for more control? I don’t know enough about him to make that determination.

On the other hand, the FO May be done with Gohara and are trying to extract as much value from him as possible.

Kela would be a very good piece to fixing the bullpen this year and the next few. If the Braves do go after Kimbrel in the offseason the back end of the bullpen would be very good for awhile. Gohara just seems like the type that is hard to motivate. I like him a lot but if he doesn't get the weight under control then his value will continue to go down. A package of Kela, Diekman, and Beltre would be a huge boost for the stretch run.

I think it's been obvious, even before his offseason problems surfaced, that the new Braves regimen isn't very high on Gohara at all. Bowman was hinting at it late in the offseason, saying the Braves see a TOR starter in Mike Foltynewicz and was saying some words that suggest they aren't high on Gohara.

I wish gohara has been dealt after his debut last year had his still k soaring. Never believed in someone that young whose body was that bad. It happens that those guys beat the odds sometimes, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

Kela’s stats suggest a high leverage guy either way.

If that pushes the Biddle’s and Winkler’s back an inning and DFAs the trash that’s good enough for me.

He seems to kill righties and the lefty line is ok but not dominant.
