Markakis hits Scherzer pretty well through his career and is over 30 years old. Because of so many games remaining, everyone is going to need to rest from time to time (outside Freeman who will refuse to), but it seems like the guy that I'd sit this afternoon to prepare for Scherzer is Markakis.

something i just noticed..the phillies have played 4 more games than us, the nats 3... this doesn't hurt our chances to catch the phillies, and being down just a game we can make that up just by winning some of those games we have in hand.
