Feliz had about a 6 ERA coming in, we can see why. I think he missed location on that slider, and worse he hung it badly. His fastball sucks too and so not surprising he went slider there as Dansby can hit his fastball im sure.
 
Swanson is so frustrating. Dude will look amazing with a swing with no holes for a few days and then be lost for a week. Good to see him have a big game though.
 
I don't think I'd trade Gausman for Archer if I could, if we had Archer we'd lost the last three games Gausman has pitched IMO. Gausman has been going deep in games, Archer usually gets beat up in the 5th inning and is out by 5 or less. With our bullpen situation, what Gausman is doing tonight is big.

I'm sorry but I'm so glad we picked up Gausman instead of overpaying for Archer. He has been exactly what this team needed at the deadline and I was more than comfortable with the price.

I only remember one Gausman start for us in which he didn't look pretty good.
 
holmes has a 7.20 era, maybe we can put this away here. It looks like Pittsburgh is saving their good bullpen arms hoping to win tomorrow.
 
So, it needs to be asked: is Markakis finally coming back down to Earth? If so, that’s not good news for our offense.
